Types of Financial Aid
We can help make your education affordable! If you're interested in financial aid for college, you've come to the right place. These programs provide more than $60 billion a year in grants, loans, and work-study assistance. Click on the types of aid in the menu on the left to get more information.
IMPORTANT: Please contact the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) immediately if you will be receiving a tuition exemption, employee reimbursement, or third party payment. Failure to notify the OSFA may result in being billed for previously disbursed financial aid that you were not entitled to.
Tuition Exemptions received for graduate assistants, teaching assistants and research assistants may reduce financial aid offers and it is the student's responsibility to notify the Office of Student Financial Aid.
EMERGENCY STUDENT AID
Ñý°®Ö±²¥ offers emergency aid options to enrolled students experiencing emergency or crisis situations. Examples of these situations include: homelessness (living in your car, temporarily staying with friends or family, living at a shelter, or other temporary housing situation), loss of employment, a disaster to your home, or other demonstrated financial challenge. Ìý Each application will be reviewed and assistance will be offered on a case-by-case basis, as funds permit.
Grants
Grants are financial aid offers that are based on financial need and does not have to be repaid. There many grants provided by the University, Federal, State, and other sources.
Scholarships

Florida Bright Futures
State-funded scholarships are offered to Florida high school graduates based on high school academic achievement.Ìý
Loans
Loans are a form of financial aid that must be repaid. There many types of loans with various requirements, including Federal, private, and more.
Need-Based Employment or Work-study
These need-based programs allow eligible students to earn money to help pay for education expenses.
Community Part-time Jobs
Off-campus job resources are open to all registered, degree-seeking, U.S. Employment Authorized students, regardless of financial need.
Help Buying Books
There are two options in which Ñý°®Ö±²¥ students can purchase textbooks: The Short Term Advance program and the Ñý°®Ö±²¥ Bookstore Line of Credit program.
