Training the Next Generation of Marine Scientists and Engineers
In addition to highly impactful science, we are committed to sharing our knowledge with a goal of inspiring, educating and training the next generation of professionals. Students at the collegiate and graduate levels can work directly with faculty members that are leaders in their fields and gain hands-on experience conducting cutting edge research. Ñý°®Ö±²¥ (Ñý°®Ö±²¥) Harbor Branch is also home to a globally recognized internship program that has provided unrivaled marine science and ocean engineering experiences to college students for over 45 years. At the pre-collegiate level, our education team collaborates with local school districts to provide immersive experiences to students through an array of laboratory- and field-based programs. In 2007, Ñý°®Ö±²¥ Harbor Branch was instrumental in founding the Marine and Oceanographic Academy, a magnet high school located on our campus, which serves as a model for partnering a marine research institute with a public-school system to improve the scientific literacy of high school students and their teachers.
