Welcome to
THE OFFICE OF THE PROVOST

The Office of the Provost is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Greetings from the Provost

Interim Provost Russ Ivy

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and learn about our office and the Division of Academic Affairs. This site contains important information for faculty members and academic administrators, as well as outside stakeholders interested in learning more about the Division of Academic Affairs at Ñý°®Ö±²¥. Regardless of your role, we hope that you can use the resources found throughout these pages to contribute to your success as an important stakeholder in the Ñý°®Ö±²¥ community.

The mission of the Office of the Provost is to provide leadership to achieve excellence in teaching, research, scholarship, and service. The office also guides policy development and resource allocation to support the diverse colleges, campuses, and student populations, ensuring their collaborative and distinctive contributions.

The Division of Academic Affairs comprises Ñý°®Ö±²¥â€™s 10 colleges that deliver more than 180 degree programs at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels to over 30,000 students. Related areas, such as the Office of Undergraduate Studies, the University Registrar, the University Libraries, the Office of Information Technology, Enrollment Management, and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, also come under the division’s umbrella. Together these units deliver outstanding programs to our students, faculty, and the community.

Our programs are delivered on six Ñý°®Ö±²¥ campuses that stretch along 113 miles of the Atlantic coastline from Dania Beach in Broward County to Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute in St. Lucie County, and also include campuses located in Boca Raton and Jupiter in Palm Beach County and Davie and Fort Lauderdale in Broward County. While our location in Boca Raton represents the main campus that is home to the majority of academic programs and students, our regional campuses have unique roles to play in the educational and research missions of Ñý°®Ö±²¥ by virtue of their strategic locations.

The university is currently undergoing considerable change as we implement our Strategic Plan for the Race to Excellence, 2015-2025. The aspiration is for Florida Atlantic to pursue, with unbridled ambition, the intention of becoming the country’s fastest-improving public research university. We look forward to engaging you in implementing this important plan that will transform our university and the surrounding region that we serve.

If you have any questions or concerns about academic affairs at Ñý°®Ö±²¥, please contact us today. Our academic leadership team and staff members are here to serve you.
